




Introduction to Pottery - 2 Hours
My beginners pottery classes for adults are designed for those that have never done pottery before. Taking place indoors at my home studio in Plymouth, you will be able to learn how to:
. The pottery process & preparing the clay
. Creating your first pieces; be it a bowl, mug or even a set of bowls!
. Wiring off your work and the drying process
. Trimming and decorative touches
Dates & Times:
Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm (please email after booking to confirm specific dates)

Summer Programme 2025 - June to August
Come and join the Adults Pottery Course for beginners at Studio Mush! In a creative environment, you'll learn the basic techniques of wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. With hands-on instruction and feedback, you’ll develop your unique style. Spaces are limited to a maximum of 2 people per course.
Week 1 - Preparing clay, introduction to tools, throw your first ever pots!
Week 2 - Trimming of your pots made on week one. Plus more throwing practice.
Week 3 - Trimming of your pots made on week two. Creating pieces using hand-building techniques
Week 4 - Once the work has been fired, the final session will look at the science of glazing, decorating your pieces and getting your work ready for their final firing.
Week 5 - Collection of work
Course duration - 2.5 hour sessions (total of 10 hours)

On-street parking is available as well as basic materials, tools and refreshments throughout. Please bring an apron and clothes you do not mind getting dirty!
